On July 25, 2024, at the Regional Communications Service of Almaty briefing, Yerkebulan Zhetpisbayev, Head of the Intellectual Property Rights Office at the Almaty Department of Justice, discussed measures to combat the illegal use of trademarks. He emphasized that counterfeit products cause significant damage to the country's economy and reduce producers' revenues.

"Today, we have gathered to discuss one of the most pressing issues of our time – the fight against counterfeiting and the protection of trademark rights. The illegal use of trademarks not only harms rights holders but also undermines consumer trust in the market and poses a threat to their health and safety. The city of Almaty, as an important economic and cultural center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is actively working to address this issue," said Zhetpisbayev.

Kazakhstan is committed to intensifying its efforts to protect trademark rights, ensuring a fair and safe market environment for both consumers and producers.
