On June 17-18, 2024, S&O IP participated in the Public Private Roundtable on enhancing the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights in Armenia. The event has been organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Armenia, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.
Discussions during the event encompassed an overview of Armenia’s IP system, perspectives from the private sector on IP enforcement, global and regional counterfeiting trends, current enforcement challenges and best practices, and distinguishing genuine products from counterfeits through brand presentations and panel discussions.
Participants included representatives from the U.S. Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), Armenia’s Intellectual Property Office, the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia, and experts from the Armenian Division of Customs Affairs, State Revenue Committee, and Investigative Committee. International IP professionals and brand representatives also contributed valuable insights during the two-day Roundtable.
